Types of Dance – 49

Although many dances are rooted in its country’s culture, people, & often religion, some have tried to separate the dance from these components. You can’t. I list these for mainly informational purposes; not that I support any of them over another. Use discernment and research into its background and purpose when choosing a type of dance. Dance is truly a form of worship and you should know whom you are honoring with your dance. See the video below for in depth analysis on popular American dances and mediate on this Scripture in your heart:

Daniel 3:4-7*

Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Music is a great influence over your spirit and whom your heart worships whether you are conscious about it or not.
